Tour to Tanglewood
A two day event benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I rode 50 miles each day in my first ever event ride.
2012
Tour to Tanglewood
My second year for this ride benefiting the NMSS. This time, I rode 100 miles on Saturday and an additional 65 on Sunday.
2013
Assault on the Carolinas
This was a 100K ride through both North and South Carolina with two significant climbs, one of which was a category 1 climb up Caesar's Head State Park.
Double Down to the Beach
My first ever double century, 200+ miles in a single day from Greensboro to Wilmington, NC.
Tour to Tanglewood
My third time participating in this ride, I guess that makes it a tradition. I repeated the 100 mile and 65 mile routes for Saturday and Sunday, and made it a Mission Possible Year with my fundraising efforts.
Carolina Century
I wasn't planning on this ride, but it just worked out that I could participate. It was the wettest century I had ever done, and quite possibly the coldest.
2015
Assault on the Carolinas
After taking nearly a year off, I came back and improved on my performance doing the 100K route once again.
Double Down to the Beach
This was quite possibly the hottest ride I have ever done, and it just happened to be my second double century ride. This time, it was from Alamance Regional Hospital to New Bern, NC, for a tick over 200 miles.
A Ride to Remember
This ride was my big fundraising ride for the year and it benefited the Alzheimer's Association in South Carolina. The total mileage for the weekend was 252 miles broken down into 65 miles, 88 miles, and 100 miles.
Tour of Farmington
This was actually my second attempt at this ride, which is a 100K route through Davie County. What I thought would be an average ride actually turned into a whole lot of fun, and a very strong solo ride.
Tour to Tanglewood
This was the 30th anniversary of this Bike MS event, and my 4th year riding in it. This was the first year where I had the option of a double century weekend, and I jumped on it.
Tour de Pig
Just another 100K route to put in the books. This one was part of the Lexington BBQ Festival, and it benefits Davidson County Mental Health. While it wasn't a washout, it was the rainiest ride that I have done this year.
